Fix: Adjust the tension screw!
How?

1. Hold your shears open at a 45° angle.
    
2. Let go of the handle. If the blade closes completely, the tension is too loose.
    
3. Tighten the tension screw slightly (right = tighter, left = looser).
    
4. Test again. Shears should close about ⅔ of the way.

Fix: Clean & oil your shears!
How?

1. Wipe blades with alcohol and a soft cloth.
    
2. Apply a drop of shear oil near the pivot point.
    
3. Open & close the shears 5-10 times to distribute oil evenly.

Fix: Loosen the tension screw slightly and add a drop of oil.
